Position Summary:  

This Product Strategy Manager will support the Product & Retail Strategy Team under the direction of the Director of Product & Retail Strategy. This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the development of cohesive growth planning and implementation across product lines (Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and Commercial), monitoring financial reporting, identifying revenue growth opportunities, identifying cost savings initiatives, and working on both Enterprise projects & ad-hoc initiatives.  This role may include managing one or more associates.

Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of profitable growth opportunity
  • Identify key cohorts and opportunities for achieving short- and long-term membership growth and retention across product lines
  • Assess member movement across product lines and implement tracking process for improved planning and forecasting
  • Work collaboratively with finance analysis, sales, and marketing to develop market growth plans to achieve membership objectives
  • Identify key opportunities around revenue and medical cost management for profitable growth
  • Establish a system to track and quantify program success including target opportunities, success/growth rate and cost of retention
  • Manage competitive intelligence including benefit design and enrollment landscape providing insights and recommendations for future growth
  • Manage and monitor vendor programs aimed at market growth and retention
  • Participate in and assist with ad hoc projects such as member focus groups, annual Go-To-Market product planning, and sales training
  • Coordinate with Product Operations teams to pro-actively identify and troubleshoot issues to resolution
  • Performs all other necessary and requested product duties. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Some prior experience in the healthcare industry
  • Intermediate to expert level for MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and data driven skills
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop plan of action, communicate effectively, and execute

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
  • Graduate degree in public health, public policy or business administration
  • Experience with managed care products
  • Demonstrated success in managing and delivering large, complex, and multifaceted projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong writing and presentation abilities
